In 1985, Carsten F. Pedersen of Denmark established ScanAsia Overseas, Inc. The company name was derived from the words “Scandinavia” and “Asia”, signifying a fusion of the best in both worlds. During its initial year, Scanasia supplied hotels and restaurants with high quality natural cheese products from Denmark, one of the countries that produces the best dairy products in the world. From initially distributing to Metro Manila institutional customers, the company later on expanded its selling activities to top retail companies.
Over the years, the Company has evolved from its humble entrepreneurial beginnings into what is now a professionally managed organization. The Company now boasts of an extensive distribution network that caters to all key cities nationwide. It now serves more than a thousand retail outlets and institutions via a sales force that effectively carries out the company’s marketing strategies, and a reliable back-end support team.
